Butter Chicken (Pick Your Protein)


  • 5 oz Plain Greek Yogurt, nonfat (
  • ½ cup) 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 2 tsp Garam Masala
  • ½ tsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Ground Cumin
  • 2 cloves Garlic, crushed
  • 1 tbsp Ginger, freshly grated
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1-15 oz can Crushed Tomatoes or Purée
  • 1 cup Lite Coconut Beverage


Combine first 8 ingredients with protein choice (chicken, shrimp, tofu) in a bowl. Cover and refrigerate for an hour or more (up to 24 hours). Heat olive oil over high heat in a large nonstick skillet.

Place protein in the pan and sauté for a few minutes. Add tomato, coconut beverage and bring to a boil.

Turn down to low and simmer for 20 minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with chopped cilantro.
