Osteoporosis is often called the “silent disease.” Until a fracture occurs, we are often ignorant of its existence.

The National Osteoporosis Foundation (NOF) states that after the age of 50, one in two women will have an osteoporotic fracture, while one in four men are also likely to have it. A scary statistic, but the fact is that osteoporosis is generally preventable and absolutely treatable.
